Company coming over and you have nothing for dessert? Well, if you have a stick of butter, Duncan Hines cherry pie filling, and a box of Pillsbury yellow cake mix you are in luck! Because literally, that’s ALL you need to make this delicious slow cooker cherry dump cake. In fact, I like to keep these ingredients on hand all the time – just in case I get surprise visitors. Which usually happens exactly when the house is a chaos and there’s absolutely nothing tasty left in the freezer!
You might be thinking “dump cake? That doesn’t sound appetizing”! Well, it’s only called that because all you need to do is dump the ingredients in the crock pot and let it do its thing! Once it is done, you can serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and devour! Your guests will LOVE this cherry dump cake!

Quick Tip: If you want to make this extra special, drizzle some sugar icing on top of each serving!
I put chopped nuts on top of mine. Sometimes I sprinkle some cinnamon, &/or ginger on the fruit before adding cake mix. That’s when I use peaches.
